The first Brussels Airlines x Tomorrowland Party Flight lands in Belgium

Tomorrowland transforms Belgium into the world's biggest festival gateway

Brussels, July 15, 2026 – The first People of Tomorrow have officially arrived in Belgium. On Wednesday afternoon, the very first Brussels Airlines Party Flight of the year landed at Brussels Airport from Ibiza, bringing 180 festivalgoers to Belgium and marking the official start of Tomorrowland's Global Journey experience.

For Tomorrowland, the festival begins long before visitors arrive in Boom. Every summer, Global Journey welcomes more than 50,000 travellers from 165 countries, transforming airports, train stations, hotels and cities across Belgium into the very first chapters of the Tomorrowland experience. From Brussels and Antwerp to Ghent and Bruges, thousands of international visitors discover Belgium before and after the festival through curated travel experiences, helping generate an important tourism and economic impact far beyond the festival grounds.

More than a journey to Tomorrowland

Global Journey has evolved into much more than a travel programme. It has become one of the world's largest festival travel operations, combining flights, trains, buses and hotel packages into one seamless experience. This summer, Global Journey includes:

  • 50,000 travellers from 165 countries
  • 43 official Global Journey hotels in Brussels
  • 12 official Global Journey hotels in Antwerp
  • More than 9,000 festivalgoers travelling by train
  • More than 10,000 festivalgoers travelling by bus
  • 7 Brussels Airlines Party Flights
  • 10 airport Gate Parties across Europe
  • Party Trains travelling across three countries with live DJs on board
  • Exclusive Discover Belgium experiences in Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent and Bruges

For many international visitors, Tomorrowland is also their first introduction to Belgium. Before reaching DreamVille or the festival grounds, they discover Belgian cities, gastronomy, culture and hospitality, encouraging many to extend their stay and return long after the festival has ended. Boom hosts the festival. Rumst becomes home to more than 38,000 DreamVille guests every festival weekend. Brussels and Antwerp welcome the world, opening their hotels, restaurants and city centres to tens of thousands of international visitors. Together, they transform Belgium into the world's biggest festival gateway.

The legendary party flights

The arrival of today's Party Flight marks the beginning of another summer of collaboration between Tomorrowland and Brussels Airlines, partners for more than fourteen years.

Nearly 25,000 festivalgoers from 106 countries will travel with Belgium's national airline over the coming weeks across 409 flights. More than 1,000 passengers will experience one of the airline's famous Party Flights, where a regular flight is transformed into a flying festival with live DJ performances, immersive lighting and the unmistakable Tomorrowland atmosphere at 30,000 feet.

Today's flight arrived from Ibiza on board Amare, the iconic Brussels Airlines Airbus A320neo designed in collaboration with Tomorrowland.

British DJ and producer Carly Wilford performed a live set during the flight, giving passengers their very first taste of Tomorrowland before landing in Belgium.

“After an incredible few week’s broadcasting from Ibiza, I thought the summer couldn't get any better… and then Tomorrowland asked me to DJ on a party flight! I've played clubs and festivals across the world but DJing at 30,000 feet for a plane full of Tomorrowland People? That's a first. What better way to kick off the biggest weekend of the summer than bringing the vibes from above the clouds.” - Carly Wilford

Over the coming days, six additional Party Flights from cities including Barcelona, Rome and Prague will continue bringing the People of Tomorrow to Belgium.

Following the festival, Brussels Airlines once again offers its unique baggage drop service directly at DreamVille, allowing guests to check in their luggage before travelling comfortably to Brussels Airport. A dedicated Brussels Airlines Service Desk remains available throughout the festival to assist travellers with flight-related questions.

Together, Tomorrowland and Brussels Airlines continue to invest in making festival travel more sustainable. Green Fares remain the standard in every Global Journey flight package, including a 30% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) contribution, while the remaining emissions are compensated through certified local climate projects in Belgium. For every Party Flight, Tomorrowland and Brussels Airlines jointly fund the equivalent of 100% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) required for the flight.

A tourism and economic boost for Belgium

The Global Journey experience continues after landing.

At Brussels Airport, festivalgoers are welcomed by Tomorrowland hosts, themed baggage reclaim areas and a dedicated Tomorrowland Pop-Up Store before boarding their buses towards DreamVille or one of the official Global Journey hotels in Brussels or Antwerp.

Global Journey creates an impact that extends far beyond the festival grounds.

Hotels in Brussels and Antwerp welcome thousands of international visitors, while restaurants, cafés, museums and local attractions benefit from guests extending their stay before and after Tomorrowland. For many international travellers, Global Journey is their first introduction to Belgium, encouraging them to explore its cities, culture and gastronomy before returning home as ambassadors for the destination.

Brussels and Antwerp welcome the world, opening their hotels, restaurants and city centres to tens of thousands of international visitors. Together, they transform Belgium into the world's biggest festival gateway.

Koen Kennis, Alderman for Tourism, City of Antwerp

"Tomorrowland is a celebration for Antwerp, and through Global Journey we bring that celebration into the heart of our city. Our hotels play an outstanding role in welcoming festivalgoers from all over the world and making them feel at home in Antwerp. Whether they are strolling through our historic streets, discovering our culinary scene or visiting City Hall, we want every guest to experience what makes Antwerp unique. Together, we are introducing the People of Tomorrow to our city, so they leave not only with unforgettable festival memories, but also as ambassadors for Antwerp who will hopefully return again in the future.”

Didier Boehlen, Chairman Antwerp Hotel Association

"Tomorrowland is one of the absolute highlights of the year for Antwerp's hotel sector. We are therefore very pleased to see Antwerp strongly represented in GlobalJourney, with twelve participating hotels. The international guests not only drive strong hotel occupancy, but also provide valuable global exposure for Antwerp. With activities taking place across the city, the Tomorrowland experience will be clearly felt throughout Antwerp.”

Rodolphe Van Weyenbergh, Brussels Hotel Federation

"Tomorrowland perfectly illustrates the impact an international event can have on Brussels' tourism economy. Previous editions generated around 60,000 hotel nights in Brussels across both festival weekends. Beyond accommodation, Brussels becomes an extension of the festival itself, allowing visitors from all over the world to discover our capital.”
